I disabled ratings for my projects for this reason some time back. Every once in a while a person like that comes and rates every single project of mine by one star just for fun, and submitted reports of these types of invalid ratings are just ignored by the moderators.
Hi Niven. I gave your game a 1/5 rating simply because I didn't enjoy the experience, I ran into many bugs while playing the game and it wasn't clear what to do most of the time, plus the fact that pressing ESC leads to the game closing made me lost progress which led to frustration, that is why I gave you that rating.
You seem to have posted this and then came back in the same day with insults, I don't appreciate that Niven, I have my private life, I'm not always in front of my computer let alone on this website, you don't know me nor do you know what I may be going through so please don't make assumptions about me. I'm not "jealous" or "spiteful" of you, I just didn't enjoy your game.
I'm sorry if my rating bothered you but I'm allowed to rate any game any rating based on my experience with it, including 1/5. if you don't want to accept that then you have the option to disable ratings, I don't owe you an explanation, although I don't mind doing so as a fellow developer under mutual respect.
"I don't care if my game is well designed it's your fault"
"I don't respect you because you can't make games like me"
"if you don't give me good rating you're a troll, no other explanation"
sure, whatever helps you feel superior, I hope your arguments somehow made sense to you. Good luck to you too and please stop going after people who give you bad ratings and insulting them for it, it doesn't give a good impression.
Edit: I just realized you downvoted my games in "revenge", wow, just wow the irony in your comments.
I don't mind if you give me a bad rating, it's an option that the designers of this website allow so I don't see a problem with getting a bad rating on my games and I sure won't come to your page, pick a random game of yours, give it 1/5 as revenge then insult you for being a jealous troll. maybe that's just me.
"you don't rate their game 1/5 and then tell them the game had bugs like an entitled prick.". I still can't wrap my head about what is entitled or bad or whatever about that? for the last time, I don't owe you an explanation to begin with, I would've tried to explain to you why I didn't like it, I even went out of my way to download it a second time to remember what it was like, then you started with the insults out of nowhere. maybe if you didn't do that I would have had more motivation to try and explain myself but here you are, still going with the insults despite me never calling you names or making assumptions about you. please leave me and my "unskilled" games alone.
also downvoting the comments of someone you're arguing with? what are you 12?
